HDFC Bank and State Bank of India Leads in Credit and Debit Cards Market Share.

 Credit Card Market Share of Banks as of Jan - 23

HDFC Bank topped the list in the credit card segment with a market share of 20.90% ,followed by SBI (19.66%), ICICI Bank(16.56%),Axis Bank(11.63%) 


Debit Card Market Share of Banks as of Jan -2023

Public Sector Undertakings Holds 72.18% Share in the Debit Card Market Segment out of Which SBI Holds a Lions Share of 30.75%. followed by Bank of Baroda with 9.09% ,Bank of India , Canara Bank and Union Bank of India of more than 5 % each. In the Private Sector HDFC Bank is the Only Player with more than 5% Market Share.



Credit Card Transactions Market Share

Total Credit Card Spend Stood at Rs 1.28 Trillion for the Month of January -23 out of Which HDFC Bank had the Highest Transaction Spend with a Share of 27.6% followed by SBI(19%) and ICICI Bank(17%).


Credit Card Spends has been above Rs 1 Trillion Dollar for the 10th Consecutive Month.


Debit Card Transactions Market Share


Total Debit Card Spend Stood at Rs 3.28 Trillion. State bank of India and HDFC bank has the highest market share with 32.92% and 10.46% Respectively.
